CENTRE WELLINGTON – The ballet is coming to Fergus.
The Fergus Grand Theatre is pleased to present Dance for All, a mixed program of classical and contemporary ballet from Ballet Jörgen, one of Canada’s premiere ballet companies.
The show comes to the Fergus stage for one performance only on April 5 at 8pm.
“It’s an honour to bring this show to Centre Wellington,” says theatre coordinator Eric Goudie.
“Dance for All has been developed just for venues like ours, allowing us to include a performance from one of the best dance companies in Canada in our presenting season.”
The evening will showcase excerpts from major classical ballets such as Romeo & Juliet, and The Nutcracker, as well as Ballet Jörgen’s smash hit Anne of Green Gables – The Ballet®, along with exciting new contemporary works by Canadian choreographers.
Founded in 1987, Ballet Jörgen is a national organization headquartered in Toronto that is focused on making the arts accessible for all Canadians, with a special focus on underserved communities and demographics.
Known for the warmth and beauty of their productions, Ballet Jörgen offers a range of performances, dance classes and community engagement events involving over 65,000 participants annually across Canada and the United States.
This show is the fifth and final offering in the Fergus Grand Theatre’s 23-24 “Old Friends, New Adventures” presenting series.
Tickets for Dance for All are $35 for adults, $25 for children 12 and under, and available by calling the box office at 519-787-1981, or online at fergusgrandtheatre.ca.
