GUELPH – The stage is set in the idyllic backyard of McCrae House for the premiere of McCrae in the Mirror, a new one-man show written and performed by Mike Ford.
The show examines McCrae’s life of service and the reverberations of the Great War, while contemplating sense of duty in a contemporary context.
Mike Ford is a renowned franco-Ontarian singer-songwriter, playwright, and educator best known for his endeavors with Moxy Früvous and Troubadour concerts.
He has a long and celebrated history with Guelph museums, bringing his Sons of ’17 show to Backyard Theatre in 2016 and 2020, and writing and performing in the Museum-commissioned John Galt and the Instant City show, first presented in 2018.
McCrae in the Mirror runs from July 21 to 30, with shows Thursday through Saturday at 7pm, and matinees on Saturday at 2pm.
