ELORA –  Artists with disabilities are celebrated in a new exhibition at the Elora Centre for the Arts. The exhibition, entitled Soar - Celebrating our Ability to Fly, Sing and Soar, is on now until April 2.

BRUCEDALE – Guelph/Eramosa council was paid a total of $146,762 in 2022. This is up from $144,106 in 2021, but less than the total remuneration paid in 2020 ($150,500).

BRUCEDALE – A new Rockwood road will be named after one of the township’s war dead, not the Drexler/Dowler developer’s late wife.

GUELPH – Chess players from each of the six Catholic elementary schools in Wellington County were bused to St. Peter Catholic School in Guelph for a board-wide chess tournament on March 1.

GUELPH – Some Indigenous community members from Guelph and Wellington County will celebrate International Women’s Day with a ribbon skirt workshop.  

GUELPH/ERAMOSA – Jean Mills’ love of playing with language has led her to write and publish nine young adult (YA) novels, two of which will be available this spring. 

ERIN – Medium, teacher and author Mary-Anne Kennedy is releasing a second book teaching people to connect with what she calls “the other side.”
