FERGUS – The sale isn’t until May, but organizers of the annual Elora Festival Book Sale are now accepting donations of books.

ELORA – Centre Wellington council approved the 2023 budget as expected at its meeting on Feb. 27 after recommending it at a Feb. 8 committee of the whole meeting.

FERGUS – The best in the world will descend on Fergus this summer as the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games has been selected to host the 2023 World Heavy Events Championship.

ABERFOYLE – Dozens of people attended Puslinch council’s Feb. 8 meeting to protest plans to build the Estill Innovation Community just off the Hanlon Expressway on Sideroad 20 North.

PUSLINCH – Puslinch council has passed the 2023 budget, including nearly $5 million in capital projects, a capital levy of $1.3 million and an operating levy of $3.5 million. That means a 4.5% tax increase for residential ratepayers.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Council here will have to consider significant increases in development fees in order to achieve 100 per cent cost recovery.
