Auditions will be held on Nov. 11 for the spring play at Century Church Theatre here.
Dead on Nine, by Jack Popplewell, has shocks, surprises, jealousy, intrigue, and eccentric characters, everything to make this murder mystery witty, suspenseful, and cleverly plotted right up to the final twist, theatre officials state.
The show, presented by Century Theatre Guild, is entered in the Association of Community Theatre, Central Ontario (ACTCO) Festival, and will be adjudicated. The guild has won a number of awards in the past two years.
Director Martyn Worsnop is looking for four males and three females of varying ages from 30s to 50s.
Audition dates are Nov. 8 at 10am, at the theatre, with a follow-up date if required on Nov. 15 at 10am. Performance dates are March 20 to 29. Rehearsals will start after Jan. 1 and will almost all be on Sundays, so no dark winter driving.
