The Elora Community Theatre is holding auditions for Alice in Wonderland.
Chasing the White Rabbit, Alice tumbles down the rabbit hole into Wonderland.
There she meets all its famous residents including the King of Hearts, Red Queen, White Queen, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Gryphon, Mock Turtle, the Dormouse, Mad Hatter and March Hare, the Frog Footman, the Dutchess, the Caterpillar and of course, White Rabbit.
This adaptation of Lewis Caroll’s classic Alice and Wonderland by award-winning children’s playwright Charlotte Chorpenning will resonate with people of all ages as it explores the various themes of growing up, identity, and never-ending curiosity.
The performances will take place from May 5 to 7.
Actors can audition for the following roles:
– Alice – Females between the ages of 10 and 14 will be considered;
– White Rabbit, King of Hearts, Red Queen, White Queen, Knave, The Duchess, The Cook, Caterpillar, Tweedledee, Tweedledum, Mad Hatter, March Hare, Frog Footman, The Gryphon, Doormouse, Mock Turtle – Adult males and females of all ages will be considered for the all of the roles above
Auditions will take place on:
– Jan. 8 from 7 to 9pm; and
– Jan. 9 from 7 to 9pm
Call backs will be held on Jan. 10 at 7 to 9pm.
Auditions will be held at the Elora Community Theatre rehearsal hall.
Auditions will be cold reads from the script.
