FERGUS – A Fergus resident was charged with assault following an incident here last weekend.
Wellington County OPP officers responded to a report of an assault at an address on Belsyde Avenue East on Sept. 17 at about 10pm.
“It was reported that the victim had been assaulted by two persons known to the victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries,” police stated in a press release.
Riley Wade Strub, 22, of Fergus, was charged with assault and is scheduled to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
“The investigation is continuing as there is another person of interest involved,” police stated.
