Arts council announces anniversary series

The Elora Arts Council will celebrate its 30th Anniversary with a five-lecture series of art talks.

The series, one Sunday per month from March through July, will span various aspects of arts including dance, music, poetry, visual arts and theatre.  The speakers are all part of the community. They often speak or lecture elsewhere, but have seldom been heard locally.

Former Centre Wellington resident David Earle is the first speaker in the series.  Earle, a world-renowned dancer, choreographer and founder of Dance Theatre David Earle, has created a large repertoire of passionate dance works for which he was awarded the Order of Canada.

He will speak on aspects of dance and read from his forthcoming Handbook for Ecstatic Survival.

The talk is on March 1 at 2pm at the Elora Library, lower level, at 144 Geddes St., Elora Tickets are $10 at the door. This library  is fully accessible Seating is limited to 50.
