DUFFERIN COUNTY – An Arthur resident has died following a three-vehicle crash here on Monday.
Emergency crews responded to the scene on Dufferin Road 109 west of Grand Valley on March 1 just after 12:30pm.
“The three-vehicle collision, involving a tanker truck, a mini-van and an SUV, occurred in the midst of a band of weather that brought treacherous road conditions, white outs and zero visibility at times,” states a Dufferin OPP press release.
Chelsey Kamphuis, 29, of Arthur, was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the tanker truck was airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious injuries.
The road was closed for several hours and police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact the Dufferin OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
