The Guelph Armoury is opening its doors to the public.
The Canadian Army (CA) Reserve Open House, will take place at all CA Armouries and Reserve units across Canada. The open house will showcase the work reservists do on behalf of Canada and will feature interactive displays and activities.
Each Armoury will open its doors to the public to encourage contact between the Canadian public and Canadian soldiers.
In Guelph the 11 Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery will open the doors of the Guelph Armoury at 7 Wyndham Street South from 9am to 4pm on Sept. 30.
The general public will have the opportunity to visit the armoury and engage with army reserve soldiers and learn more about who they are and what they do, learn about employment opportunities, and discover the benefits and skills that can be obtained from a life in the army reserves.
A brigade recruiter will be on site to answer any questions about the recruitment process, and will be there to assist any individuals interested in joining.
