Over the last five years, Clifford youth and families have literally put down roots in the community by planting almost 100 trees. Twenty one trees were planted on May 6 for national Arbor Day, which literally translates to “tree” day. Organized by the Clifford and District Horticulture Society, the event celebrates the planting of trees to honour nature and the environment. The planting was held in the Rotary Park in Clifford just prior to the annual Clifford Rotary Duck race.
