Aprons and Overalls is the theme of the Harriston-Minto Fall Fair, which will run from Sept. 18 to 20 on the grounds of the Harriston-Minto Community Centre.
The fair opens Friday evening at 6pm, with exhibits and a midway on the grounds and a demonstration by R & R Pet Paradise set for 7pm.
The official fair opening takes place at 8pm, followed by the Junior Calf Show, pie auction, pork auction, silent auction, talent show and lawn mower races.
The action starts at 9am on Saturday, with the light horse show. The midway opens at 11am and the fair parade beginning at noon.
A horseshoe tournament, mutt show, baby show, horse pull and BMX stunt show are all scheduled afternoon events, as well as a “Zoo to You” display.
Wings and music are on the schedule in the auditorium starting at 6:30pm.
Sunday’s schedule begins at 8:30am, with a breakfast until 10:30am. Agricultural awareness displays, a pedal tractor pull, and beef shows all take place on Sunday. The popular demolition derby begins at 2:15pm, right after the big bale rollout and the fair concludes with a pork and beef barbecue from 4:30 to 7pm.
