Applications sought to expand experiences in Centre Wellington

Applications are now being sought to create new  or enhance local destination experiences.

In 2017, the Elora and Fergus Destination Animation Strategic Co-Investment Project enabled the creation of six new experiences in Elora and Fergus that highlighted the DNA; natural setting, heritage town and arts and culture. Based on last year’s success, Centre Wellington township and Regional Tourism Organization Four (RTO4) announced the launch of a 2018 project to enable Elora and Fergus businesses, organizations and tourism stakeholders to create a new set of experiences for both visitors and residents.

An estimated $10,000 is available for proposals, and individual applications may be for any amount between $500 and $10,000.

Projects must be new or enhanced experiences, and funding cannot be applied toward capital or regular operational expenses.

The first application deadline is April 30. As budget allows, applications received after the deadline will be reviewed.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to discuss their project, questions and eligibility before applying by contacting Deb Dalziel at ddalziel@centrewellington.ca  or 519-846-9691 Ext 380 or Karen Mitchell at karen@rto4.ca or 519-271-7000 ext. 202.

Applications can be found at http://elorafergus.animationfund.ca.
