Grand River parks earned nearly $6.4 million in 2013, which was about $380,000 less than expected.
This was due to wet weather and the delayed opening of the Byng Island Conservation Area because of water issues.
High river flows in the Elora Gorge meant tubing was suspended for part of the summer for safety reasons and this also resulted in less revenue.
The revenue shortfalll is being offset by a reduction of $150,000 in capital spending and the rest will be recovered by funds from reserves.
The 2014 budget revenue is expected to be $6.9 million, based on average attendance projections.
