Councillors here have agreed to another road toll in Mount Forest for the Thanksgiving weekend.
The Mount Forest Kin Club traditionally holds an event on the long weekend, and this year’s is slated for Oct. 8 from 4 to 8pm, and Oct. 9 from 8am to 1pm.
Paul Barnard, of the Mount Forest Kin Club, who wrote to council, said, “We are proposing to use the same routes and traffic control procedures that we have used successfully in previous road tolls.”
Councillors subsequently passed a bylaw to allow the road toll on Main Street South (Highway 6) between Queen Street (Highway 89) and Parkside Drive on the Friday and Saturday.
In addition, the toll will be held on Oct. 8 along Queen Street East (Highway 89) between Main Street (Highway 6) and Fergus Street.
