The awards keep coming for Elora’s recipient of the Order of Canada.
Anita Stewart received that honour last month.
Now, she has been invited by the Ontario Hostelry Institute’s Chairman’s Gold award, on March 22 in Toronto.
J. Charles Grieco, chairman and president, cited Stewart as “one of my best mentors” in announcing the award.
Jamie Kennedy, a renowned chef and Ontario Hostelry Institute Gold award winner reviewed one of Stewart’s cookbooks on the Hostelry web site. He stated, “Anita Stewart’s Canada is a beautiful collection of stories, uniquely Canadian … that sends a message of pride and tremendous accomplishment to a nation that is discovering it’s collective gastronomic voice.”
Stewart is already a Fellow of the Ontario Hostelry Institute. The award presentation will take place in March.
