Theatre Norwell is back this spring with the musical comedy Anne and Gilbert.
The show runs May 7, 8, and 9 at 7:30pm at Norwell District Secondary School.
Anne and Gilbert is the story of the cherished Canadian character, Anne of Green Gables, who has captured the imaginations of audiences all across the world for 100 years.
The show is based on the continued story of Anne Shirley from the series of novels written by Lucy Maud Montgomery.
It involves 19 year old Anne, played by Briana Vandenberg, who deals with the challenges of beginning a career, attending university, and caring for aging loved ones.
On top of all that, she must choose to devote her love either to millionaire, Roy Gardner, played by Ian MacMillan, or to longtime friend Gilbert Blythe, played by Trent Grose.
This year’s production boasts talents that include gifted singers and actors, to devoted set designers and musicians.
Tickets for Anne and Gilbert are available by contacting Pam TarBush or Brent Bloch at Norwell District Secondary School at 519-343-3107. The cost is $8 for students or seniors, and $10 for adults. Some tickets will also be available at the door.
