The Alzheimer Society of Guelph-Wellington celebrates its 21st Annual “Christmas Carols by Candlelight” event, which will take place on Dec. 4 at St. George’s Anglican Church, 99 Woolwich St. in Guelph.
This event features the vocal talents of the Centre Wellington Singers.
According to Paul Visschedyk, Director of Fund Development at the Alzheimer Society of Guelph-Wellington, “This event is a warm, relaxing and enjoyable, sing-along evening of many of our favourite Christmas carols and readings, for people of all ages. The highlight of the evening is when the audience is invited to join the choir on stage for a rousing rendition of Handel’s ‘Hallelujah Chorus’. It’s a wonderful evening.”
Funds raised by this event will go to supporting the local programs and services of the Society, which include providing support, education, and resources to individuals living with dementia and their care partners.
The Alzheimer Society is Canada’s leading nationwide health charity for people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
Active in communities right across Canada, the Society offers help for today through programs and services for people living with dementia, and hope for tomorrow by funding research to find the cause and the cure.
