Discover the road less travelled in Wellington County Museum and Archives’ newest exhibit, All Roads Lead to Erin.
Presented in partnership with the Town of Erin Heritage Committee, this exhibit explores the role of transportation in the growth and development of the Town of Erin. The exhibit will be on display from September 30 until March 31, 2019.
Through photographs and interviews with past residents, All Roads Lead to Erin brings to life stories about the challenges of getting around in Erin’s early days.
“It’s fascinating to see how much life has changed over the last two hundred years,” said Jean Denison of the Town of Erin Heritage Committee.
“Transportation was a critical factor in Erin’s development,” said Hailey Johnston, curator of the exhibit.
“It affected the growth of businesses and communities, influenced mail delivery, it even dictated where schools were built.”
The public is invited to attend the exhibit opening reception on Sept. 30 from 1 to 3pm at the Wellington County Museum. Food and refreshments are provided.
The Wellington County Museum and Archives’ galleries are open weekdays from 9:30am to 4:30pm and on weekends from 1 to 5pm.
Admission is by donation.
