Ticket sales for Aladdin: The Panto are soaring after the production received rave reviews from both critics and audiences, Drayton Entertainment officials state.
Due to popular demand, eight additional performances have been added to the schedule to keep the magic alive straight through the holiday season until Dec. 27 at St. Jacobs Country Playhouse.
“We are thrilled that audiences are having such a wonderful time at Aladdin: The Panto,” Alex Mustakas, artistic director of Drayton Entertainment said in a press release.
“By extending the run, more families will be able to create lasting memories and enjoy this fun-filled holiday production.”
Drayton Entertainment has enjoyed great success in recent years staging this particular genre of live theatre, which appeals to children and adults alike by incorporating popular music, topical jokes, and audience interaction that encourages everyone to “boo” for the villain and “cheer” for the hero.
Additional performances are scheduled as follows:
– Dec. 22 at 2 and 7:30pm;
– Dec. 23 at 2 and 7:30pm;
– Dec. 26 at 2 and 7:30pm; and
– Dec. 27 at 11:30am and 4pm.
“If you’re looking for something to do over the holidays, Aladdin: The Panto is a terrific theatre experience for all ages,” said Mustakas.
