It may soon be easier to find a parking spot in downtown Clifford.
Councillors here have endorsed an economic and development committee recommendation that when the town does the watermain work on the alleyway behind Greenley’s Restaurant and the Minto Farmers’ Market site, that 20 feet of the grass at the park be replaced with gravel to create more parking spots in the downtown core.
Business and economic manager Belinda Wick-Graham said the idea came from Clifford’s downtown revitalization committee to provide additional parking not only for the farmer’s market, but for other events going on.
She added that Norm Fisk, Director of Public Services, is also in support.
