Clerk-administrator Marsha Paley says the wheels are in motion to take the first step forward in active transportation planning in Wellington County.
Paley recently told Minto councillors that Karen Armstrong, of the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Health Unit, said Wellington North Township endorsed county-wide active transportation plan.
That means all lower tier municipalities have adopted the Minto resolution. Minto can consider bringing the plan to Wellington County.
Mayor David Anderson wondered if the information should be forwarded to the administration and finance committee or the roads committee at the county.
He said it would affect planning issues and roads.
Maybe it should go both ways, to the committees covering roads and planning, Anderson suggested.
However, because of the summer break for county council, he did not anticipate it being dealt with before September.
