Pietronella ‘Nellie’ (Lucas) Franco of Mount Forest passed away at her home on Friday, October 23, 2020, in her 84th year. Wife of the late Lorenzo Franco (2002). Mother of John & Cathy Franco of Fordwich, Annamaria Cox of Drew, and Betty Ann Franco-Dufresne and Dale Dufresne of Jasper, Ontario. Grandmother of Trevor and Sarah Franco, Nicole and Derek Boyd, Sara Cox, Trina Ghent and Spencer Close, Brandon and Shellsey Williamson, Simon and Jen Williamson, and Jason Williamson. Great-grandmother of Landen, Hailey, Jase, Dane, Hayden, Scott, Kailey, William, Kenzie, Avery, Amber, Mason, Carson, Van, and Wes. Sister of Ted and Mary Lucas of Mount Forest, Christine Droog-Harper of Mount Forest, Betty and John deGroot of Kenilworth, Ellie Webers of Mount Forest, Henny and Doug Touchan of Ottawa, and Frank and Joanne Lucas of Mount Forest. Sister-in-law of Guilio and Rose Franco of Wasaga Beach, John and Sally Franco of Grand Valley, Tony and Maria Franco of Oakville, and Rosa Palazzo of Toronto. Predeceased by her brother Peter Lucas and his wife Ann, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Henry Webers, Nick Droog, Pasqualo and Pasqualina Franco, Damiano and Franca Franco, Carmen Franco, Alberto and Gina Franco, Adam Palazzo, Steve and Teresa Franco, and Harold Harper, and by her parents Peter & Elizabeth (DeJong) Lucas. Visitation was held at St. Mary of the Purification Roman Catholic Church, Mount Forest, on Tuesday, October 27th from 9:30am until 11:00am. A private family Funeral Mass was celebrated immediately following the visitation, with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mount Forest.
