Two trailers taken
GUELPH-ERAMOSA – On Oct. 1 at about 11:30am Wellington County OPP received a theft report from a storage area at the Guelph Lake Conservation Area.
Police say that sometime between Sept. 27 and Oct. 1 suspects entered the property and stole a 32-foot white 2011 sleep-in camping trailer (plate N8997V).
GUELPH-ERAMOSA – On Oct. 2 at about 8pm Wellington County OPP received a theft report from a storage area at the Guelph Lake Conservation Area.
Police say that sometime between Aug. 13 and Oct. 2 suspects entered the property and stole a 28-foot beige 2014 Gulf Stream camping trailer (plate N2741S) with “King Sports” logos on the sides.

Drugs found at RIDE
GUELPH-ERAMOSA – On Oct. 10 at about 1:30am, Wellington County OPP officers were conducting a RIDE program on Wellington Road 124 at Jones Baseline.
Police say officers spoke to the male driver and detected the odour of suspected cannabis. Further investigation revealed the driver was in possession of over 200 grams of cannabis and a quantity of hydromorphine pills.
Brandon Reed, 28, of Gravenhurst, was charged with possession of a Schedule I Substance (hydromorphine) and possession of over 30g of cannabis. He is to appear in Guelph court on Nov. 13.
Police are reminding residents that it is illegal to have care or control of a vehicle or boat, whether or not it is in motion, that contains “readily available” cannabis.
Cannabis must be in its original packaging, unopened, in a fastened bag or “not otherwise readily available to any person in the vehicle or boat.”
Motorcyclist charged
MOUNT FOREST – On Oct. 6 at about 7:30pm a Wellington County OPP officer stopped a motorcycle for an alleged driving violation on Main Street near Wellington Street.
Police say the driver did not have a licence plate attached to the motorcycle.
Police spoke with the driver and conducted a roadside screening device test.
Police also discovered that the motorcyclist was prohibited from driving and had his licence suspended.
Tobias Alexander Nisbet, 33, of Durham, was charged with driving while prohibited, driving while suspended, being a novice driver with a blood-alcohol level above zero and driving without a licence plate.
He is to appear in Guelph court on Nov. 13. The vehicle was seized for 45 days
