Classic car parade – Residents of Caressant Care in Arthur look forward to a classic car parade each year.
“This year had to be different so we got in contact with our local ‘car guys’ Jim Walton and George Termain and planned for a drive-by socially distanced event,” said Jennifer VanBeek, an activity aid at the retirement home.
Word for the Sept. 12 event was spread via social media and word of mouth between car clubs and resulted in a great turnout, VanBeek notes.
“We also enjoyed the Arthur Lions Club floats and a few of the virtual Arthur Fall Fairs floats as well. Even the Fall Fair ambassador drove by,” she said, adding, “the residents enjoyed the show.”
