Free face masks – Milica Svicevic, of Hillsburgh, is making non-medical face masks and giving them away.
“Early on in this, a Toronto hospital had challenged sewers to make masks for the public, so I started,” she says. But before she could deliver any to Toronto, she started delivering them locally to people asking for them on Caremongering Facebook groups. When that became too much, Svicevic now leaves them on her front porch at 5 Anne St.
Masks come in men’s, women’s and children’s sizes and a variety of fabrics.
“The Toronto hospital was going to use them for the general public, so we’re still meeting that need,” Svicevic said.
