Maurice slipped away quietly on March 25, 2020 in his 93rd year at Groves Memorial Hospital. Due to the strange times we are living in his family could not be by his side. Maurice cherished his family relationships and will be missed by all who knew him. He leaves his loving wife and life partner Lillian of 68 years. His children Glenn (Rose), Gail (Doug), and Lorraine (Jean-Guy). He always enjoyed seeing how his grandchildren were doing and the many visits from Nicole, Daelin, Lily, Jessica, Cameron, Byron, and Katherine. Two great-grandchildren Findlay and Clancy who loved to come see their Grandpa. Maurice is survived by his sister Marjorie and her family. Maurice wanted to remain living at home, which he did until his short illness. A special thank you to Dr. Incitti and the nursing staff on the 2nd floor for your heartfelt care. To Sue his devoted caregiver. Also to Maurice’s whole team connected to his “Men’s Club” who helped Maurice and his family so much. A great source of joy for Maurice was his family cottage outside Kenora, Ontario. Maurice is being cremated and as per his request there will be a private family gathering “at the lake” where his journey will end. Maurice, Mo, Dad, Pop, Grandpa you were much loved. Thank you for all the things you taught us. From all of us. Arrangements are entrusted to The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South in Fergus.
