of Grand Valley passed away peacefully on March 6, 2020 in his 71st year at Hospice Wellington in Guelph following a brief illness. Bob is deeply loved and will be sadly missed by his children, Sarah (Raja) Stone of Waterloo and Joshua Hicks of Freelton; his wife Gloria Hicks of Grand Valley; his siblings David (Debbie) Hicks of Sudbury, Sherry Hicks of Toronto, John (Paula) Hicks of Clarington. Bob is predeceased by his parents William and Audrey Hicks. Bob will also be missed by his close first cousin Danny Lee of Cobourg. Grandpa Bob will be missed by his grandchildren, Talia, Fiona and Olivia Stone; Jessie Lucas and Chantal Vien. Uncle Bob will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Bob had diverse interests in many genres of music and he was a beautiful singer and guitar player. Bob had an incredible sense of humour, was an avid reader and loved the outdoors, nature and animals. Bob drove long haul truck for many years and loved being on the “open road.” Special thanks to the incredible team at Hospice Wellington, and special mention to Dad’s nurses Susan, Kaitlyn and Celia for their amazing care of Dad and their kindness and compassion to our whole family.
