EDEN MILLS – Guitarist Gareth Pearson is coming to the Eden Mills Community Hall on Jan. 24 at 8pm.
A guitar enthusiast’s guitarist – Pearson is referred to as “The Welsh Tornado.”
Pearson has a distinctive style that can be heard through his creative and innovative arrangements which cover a wide spectrum of genres, including country/folk/classical/pop/rock/jazz/swing and bluegrass music, along with his own beautiful and often intricate original compositions, officials say.
Drawing his playing style initially from influences such as Chet Atkins, Merle Travis, Jerry Reed and Tommy Emmanuel, he has developed a style that is both inspiring and entertaining
Proceeds from the concert support the upkeep of the “carbon neutral” heritage Eden Mills Community Hall.
Doors will open at 7:30pm for the Jan. 24 8pm concert.
Tickets are $20 for an adult, $40 for a family and $10 for a student.
