JANUARY 2020
Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington (CSGW) is excited about the 2020 Crime Stoppers Month theme; Creating Partnerships Against Crime.
This theme articulates what CSGW has experienced for a while now, that we are more effective when we partner with businesses, community organizations, police services and other investigative agencies.
“Strength in numbers,” isn’t just a saying, it’s a philosophy that works for Crime Stoppers both here in the City of Guelph and County of Wellington and around the globe. Sharing a common goal of keeping our communities safe and resolving crime benefits all.
We have seen an increase in partnerships within our community.
This could be a memorandum of understanding with a new investigative agency, or a business that wants to promote Crime Stoppers in conjunction with their brand to increase awareness of how the program works.
Increasing CSGW visibility means a resolution of crime and we have proven this time and time again.
If you are an organization that would like to partner with CSGW, please let us know.
There are many ways to collaborate and make a positive impact, and we are always looking for new ways to increase awareness and effectiveness.
Our partnerships include fellow Crime Stoppers programs and we are proud to work alongside them across southwestern Ontario.
Each year at this time, we share with our communities the opportunity to join our board of directors.
This is the most fundamental partnership within our organization.
If you are interested in volunteering your time and talents to CSGW, we encourage you to go to our website, www.csgw.tips and “contact us” to request an application form.
We are looking for individuals who are ready to get involved and work hard to make a difference.
Our board members are vital in fundraising and using their network of contacts to spread the word about our anonymous and confidential method of reporting crime. We would love to hear from you!
