GUELPH – On Jan. 10 at about 9:45am, Guelph Police were called to a bank in the south end of the city for an attempted robbery.
Police officials say two people dressed in dark clothing and wearing masks and gloves demanded to be let into the vault, but were told by employees the site is a “cashless” bank.
“Witnesses inside the bank advised police that although no firearm was seen, one of the suspects kept their hand in the front pocket of their sweater, as if there was a firearm hidden inside,” police stated in a press release.
The suspects, who fled the scene without obtaining any money, were last seen in a white newer model four-door Honda Civic hatchback.
Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle or suspects.
