GUELPH – Do you know a family that represents the values of Ontario’s rural communities? People whose commitment and dedication to the rural way of life makes a difference and sets an example for others.
If so, nominate them today for a 2020 BMO Ontario Farm Family Award – presented by the Ontario Plowmen’s Association (OPA) and BMO Bank of Montreal.
Nominations are open now and will be accepted until Feb. 28. Nominations can be made by anyone for anyone. To make a nomination, visit: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/96QDKVC.
“We understand the importance that agriculture plays to Canada as a whole and believe it’s important to recognize families that exemplify a sense of community, strong values, and hard work and that are making significant contributions to the rural way of life,” said Steve DeMarco, Vice President of Business Banking Northern Ontario, BMO Bank of Montreal.
“We look forward to recognizing and celebrating this year’s recipient families.”
Recipient families will be formally recognized and celebrated during the 2020 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo (IPM) in Lindsay, Kawartha Lakes, Ontario on Oct. 17.
BMO Ontario Farm Family Awards, handed out annually since 2012, have celebrated the efforts of 83 families throughout the province.

I would like to nominate Tim May and his family. Tim has “farmed the fields of social media” through his facebook account and other media venues while running a dairy farm operation. No one could be more dedicated to agriculture than Tim May. His farm is in Wellington County, 4th Line Eramosa.
