HILLSBURGH – Two charitable causes will be supported at the annual tree lighting to be held at the downtown Hillsburgh parkette Nov. 30, from 5 to 8:30pm.
The Hillsburgh and District Lions Club is presenting the event, requesting donations to buy teddy bears for pediatric cancer patients in local hospitals over Christmas, and to make a lump sum donation to pediatric cancer research.
They are also collecting material donations for local families in need for East Wellington Community Services.
Refreshments will be served 5-7pm, with Santa arriving at 6pm and there will be free skating 7-8:30pm at the Hillsburgh Community Centre.
The Lions extend thanks to their event partners, Hillsburgh Foodland and Wintersinger’s Tree Farm.
