On July 9th, 2019 in her 59th year, Barbara Manning passed away as a result of her injuries following a motor vehicle accident. Wife, mom, sister, daughter, friend, Barb, Grandma, Auntie Barb – no matter what you called her, mom was the most selfless and kind person you could have ever met. Born in Cold Lake, Alberta but resided in Rockwood, Ontario, Barb was an amazing wife of 42 years to Guy, loving mother to Mark, Krista (Travis) and Matthew (Bronwyn). Precious daughter of Hilda and the late Ken Eshleman. The most wonderful Grandma to her 7 grandchildren, Jonathan, Leanne, Daniel, Morgan, Cooper, Avery and Myles. Barb was an avid gardener and loved to read; known to finish a book in just a day. She was a determined and successful woman who firmly believed that you can achieve whatever you put your mind to. Owner of the famous candy jar and known for secretly stuffing the grandkids with candy or puffed wheat cake before every meal. Barb included everyone and was at her happiest when others were experiencing joy. Taken too soon, but never forgotten. We will forever miss our host of sleepovers and family gatherings, the one who brought everyone together, our confidante, our voice of reason and our conscience, our loved always, our rock, Mom. A brief service and Celebration of Life will take place at the St. James Anglican Church and Butterfly Garden in Fergus, Ontario on August 18th at 1:00pm. Barb spent many hours volunteering at the children’s hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Darling Home for Kids, 5657 15th Side Road, Milton, ON, L9E0C8.
