OAKWOOD – Due to challenges created by extreme weather conditions, there has been a change in the date for the Victoria County Forage Expo.
The Perth location at Pendora Dairy, 6447 Road 164, Monkton, will take place on the originally scheduled date of July 9.
The Victoria County (Kawartha Lakes) event will be held on July 23 at Vosbrae Farms, 140 Skyline Rd. in Oakwood. Additional details can be found at: ontarioforagecouncil.com/programs/ontario-forage-expo .
This year’s demonstrations will include equipment from the leaders in forage production equipment. Attendees will not only have the chance to see what’s new for 2019, but will also have the unique opportunity to witness this equipment in head-to-head field trials.
Equipment will include various mowers, conditioners, rakes, tedders, windrow inverters, mergers, harvesters, dump wagons, large round balers, large square balers, small square bale bundlers, bale wrappers and bale grapplers.
This event will provide the opportunity for farmers to view the latest technology available to harvest forage quickly with minimal loss and maximum quality.
This event is free to the farming community Lunch will be available on-site, and no pre-registration is required.
