ERIN – Celebrations for Canada Day in the Town of Erin will take place downtown at McMillan Park and at St. John’s Community Church in Orton.
Downtown festivities start at 11am and continue until 6pm, with live music, kids entertainment, family activities and food trucks.
The event is hosted by the town, with AAA Events and the Village of Erin Business Improvement Area (BIA).
Activities in Orton run from 5pm to dusk, featuring the traditional chicken dinner with sittings at 5, 6 and 7pm.
The cost is $15 for a half chicken and $13 for a quarter.
Only 600 servings are available, so people are encouraged to place advance orders at 519-855-4243.
Fireworks are at dusk, with tickets sold separately at the gate; $5 for adults and children 12 and older, $2 for children 4 to 11 and free for under 4.
