Passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 2, 2019. Lori will be missed by her loving husband of 18 years, Gerry Doyle, and his son Alexander (Chloe), mother Myrna Noecker-Ternan-McKinley, sister Janine Ternan-Lachey (Stephen) and their daughters Arianne and Marielle, sister Tracy Ternan, brother Andrew Ternan (Natalie) and their daughter and son Jacqueline and Angus. Predeceased by her father, Stan Ternan, in 2011. Lori’s love of nature and agriculture stemmed from her childhood spent on a farm. In her teenage years, she was chosen by the Fergus Rotary Club to take on a 10-month exchange in Australia, igniting her love of travel and adventure. In her early 20’s she moved to Toronto to attend the Ontario College of Art, and received a diploma in Architectural Drawing at Centennial College, where she found an outlet to express her creativity and a lifelong love and appreciation of fine art and galleries. A few years later, Lori discovered a passion for business and recruiting. By 1993, she became an entrepreneur, and built what is today Litherland & Co. where she developed a successful search firm for agribusiness. She achieved her CHRP at Rotman School of Business, and loved taking many continuing education courses there. With a lifelong passion for psychology, motivation, leadership and achievement, she was known for serving clients, inspiring candidates and captivating audiences across the country. In 2009, Lori combined her love of art and her eye for architecture and design to create her “happy place” on Otter Lake where she enjoyed entertaining many friends and family. Lori relished in the simple joy of a solo kayak paddle, sometimes gone for hours at a time enjoying the peacefulness of nature. Her vibrant spirit and everlasting optimism will be cherished by loved ones for years to come.
