Alicia Ramcharan of Belwood, with husband Roy and family by her side, passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital on June 3, 2019 at the age of 51. Her courage and determination of living a life with lupus made her the pillar strength for everyone around her. She was a loving wife and best friend of Roy Beattie for 32 glorious years. Beloved daughter of the late Ken (2019) and Molly Ramcharan, and daughter-in-law of Roy Sr and Isobel Beattie. Amazing sister of Carol (Purnam) and Natasha (Geoff), and sister-in-law of Karen (Chris) and David (Kristine). Best Auntie to Anisha, Nikhil, Brandon, Kayla, and Austin. Alicia will be sadly missed, but forever remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, pets and close friends. Especially by her most favourite Auntie Kay. Alicia was a creative spirit – loved cooking, gardening, reading, knitting, designing jewelry, writing, and travelling. A true compassionate soul who selflessly helped others before herself. Once she put her mind to something, nothing was impossible. The family wishes to send a heartfelt thank you to the team and volunteers at St. Mary’s ICU, and everyone else who helped through the years. A special thank you to Dr. Katherine Anderson, her family doctor, who deeply cared for her for many years. Friends and family are invited to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00pm. The Celebration of Life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 9:00am.
