MAPLETON – The Drayton Mapleton Agricultural Society is offering two individual $1,000 scholarships for high school students residing in Mapleton Township and pursuing a post secondary education in an agricultural program in the fall of 2019.
Selection is not based on academic record alone, but is also focused on involvement in the community, especially with respect to an interest in the field of agriculture.
“We are very excited and pleased to be able to offer two scholarships of this magnitude for Mapleton students. We feel that by investing in education, we are also investing in future careers, and that will in turn help to ensure a healthy future for agriculture,” officials state.
For information or to download a scholarship application, email draytonfair@hotmail.com or visit the guidance department of a local high school.
