It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph Fulton announces his passing after a long illness, on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at the age of 89 years. Joe is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 63 years, Maureen and his sons, Gary and Glenn (Sandra) and his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joe will also be fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law, David Hume (Fran) and Jim Hume (Elsie), predeceased, and his nieces, nephews and cousins. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Joe was a solider in the Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) and served as a peacekeeper in Greece and Egypt. Joe immigrated to Canada in 1951 and worked for many years as a trusted and expert Driver hauling chemical loads throughout Canada and the USA. Joe lived his life as a true gentleman. He was a kind man with a quiet nature and a compassionate spirit. He was devoted to his wife Maureen, (his Irish Rose) and his family. A Celebration of Joe’s life to be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Rockwood Chapel, 117 Guelph St., Rockwood, ON.
