The first West Luther 4-h dairy club meeting was held at Fraegrove Holsteins On April 17.
Blaire Bauman was selected as president, Grayson Kuhlman as vice president, and Allison as secretary/treasurer.
Members learned valuable information about farm safety and hazards to look for both inside the barn and outside around tractors and equipment.
They also learned about a study trial that they are doing on their farm with the calves, to ensure that they are getting good quality colostrum after they are born.
They then learned about safety while being around cows, as well as while training calves, and the proper terminology when identifying parts of a cow.
The meeting closed with the 4-H pledge and was adjourned.
