About 100 people gathered in the Irvine Room the Elora Mill Hotel and Spa on Feb. 26 for Books and Beer: The Finale. Featuring renowned author Terry Fallis, who talked about the process of publishing his first novel, the night was a celebration of the Elora Writers Festival, which is wrapping up after 25 years. Founder Ailsa Kay talked about starting the first festival, Words by the Water; festival organizing committee member Dave Beynon thanked sponsors, patrons, authors, and volunteers who’d been involved with the festival through the years. Proceeds after expenses will be donated to the Community Resource Centre of North and Centre Wellington’s early literacy program. Photo by Jean Mills
