He is survived by his loving wife, Mearney, his best friend of 70 years. Among those who mourn his loss are his children Bonnie & (Rod), Dan & (Helen), Ross & (Jackie), Karen & (Simon). Grand-children Rob, Stacey, Alexandre, Katie & Annie. Great grand-children Tyler, Ryan, Rob & Sarah. Sister, Adrianne. Best friends, Ernie & Sarah Frey & family. Hedley had many passions. He was a licenced Mechanic and passed on his skills by becoming a High School Teacher in the Guelph & Dundas areas and will be fondly remembered by his students. He was a farmer, a proud collector of John Deere Tractor’s and enjoyed travelling. His greatest passion however was flying planes, with Mearney at his side from their farm in Puslinch to Clapperton Island, “their Golden Years paradise hide-away”. We bid goodbye and God Bless to a beloved husband, father, grand-father and friend as he flies off into the sunset. We want to extend a special thanks to the SVNC Nurses and Staff for their compassionate care and support.
