RITCHIE, Ruth “Dorelle” (nee Hillis) Of Grand Valley, passed away peacefully after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer on Sunday, December 17 at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus, with her family by her side. She was in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Bruce Ritchie (2003). Cherished mother of Janet and Lynton of Arthur, Jim of Grand Valley and Paul and Tammy of Orangeville. Proud grandmother and biggest fan of Brett and Nick. Sister of Bonnie (Bob Gemmill) of Mississauga. Sister-in-law of Ruth Hillis of Grand Valley and Laura Hillis of Moorefield. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents Jim and Ada Hillis and her most loved brothers Roy and Carl. The family received friends at Simes Funeral Home, 48 Main St. S., Grand Valley on Tuesday, December 19, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service was held Wednesday, December 20 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Knox Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
