SMITH, Lorne Edward “Ted” It is with great sadness that the family of Lorne Smith announce his passing on November 14th, 2017 in his 68th year after a courageous but short illness. Lorne leaves behind his loving wife and best friend of 48 years, Doreen (Pounder) Smith. He will always be the cherished and much loved father of Tammy (Lee) and Shawn (Dianne). Lorne also leaves behind his adored grandchildren Dyllan, Kirsti, Jessica, Brooke and Justin. He will be fondly remembered by mother-in-law Nellie (and the late Wallace), sister Marjorie (Bill), sisters-in-law Evelyn (Tom), Bonny, Helen, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He will be forever missed by his doggie Sasha. Predeceased by his parents Haldon and Christine, sisters Verna and Priscilla, brother William and Uncle Henry. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Ontario SPCA would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.
