MARTIN, Oscar M. Peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at the age of 89 years. Oscar Martin was the beloved husband of Seleda Martin for 62 years. Dear father of Carol and Cleon Bauman of Elmira, Leroy and Loretta of Elmira, Grace and Elverne Martin of West Montrose, Larry and Sharon of Glen Allan, Arlene and Daryl Shantz of Elora, Fern and Murray Martin of Drayton, Richard and Lesa of Elmira, Lucille and Darcy Diefenbacher of Arthur, Lyle and RuthAnn of Moorefield, and Glen and Bernice of Drayton. Grandfather of 47 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. Brother of Loreen Martin of Alma, Clare and Vera Martin of Floradale, and Alva and Alma Martin of Drayton. Predeceased by his parents Tilman and Mary (Martin) Martin, sister Vietta Martin, brother-in-law Noah B. Martin, and a great-grandson. The family would like to express their appreciation to the caregivers from Closing the Gap, Bayshore, and St. Elizabeth for the care Oscar received during his final three years. Visitation took place on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. and Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 1-4 and 5:30-8 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
