HILBORN, Howard Douglas “Doug” of Drayton passed away suddenly at Palmerston Hospital on Monday May 15, 2017 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Mary (Hicks) Hilborn for 61 years. Dear father of Mark Hilborn and his wife Anna of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Loving “Poppa” of Erik and Olivia. Brother of Louise Rew of Victoria Harbour and Brother-in-law of Lois Hicks of Toronto and Pauline Robertson of Victoria B.C. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Seth Lundy Hilborn and Frieda Aleda (Gillrie) Hilborn, one brother Robert Hilborn, brother-in-law Joe Rew, brother and sister-in-law George and Jean Hicks. The family will receive friends at the Heritage Funeral Home, 20 Wellington Street South, Drayton, on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00pm. Rev. Mark Laird will conduct the Funeral Service in the Drayton United Church on Friday May 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Followed by interment in Drayton Cemetery.
