STACK, David James, of Arthur passed away suddenly at the Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus on Saturday, April 22, 2017 in his 68th year. David was married for 45 years to the love of his life, the late Lynn Stack (Arnott) (2016). Cherished father of Sean and Michelle Stack of Brooklin, Ontario, Chris Stack and Sherry Rock of Milton, Ontario and Amy and Brent Daye of Lunenburg, Ontario. Dearest grandpa of Hannah, Lauren and Sarah; Clara and Jake; Brandon and Andrew. Brother of Margaret and Pete Gapp of Fenelon Falls. Brother-in-law of Joan and Keith Hollowell of Etobicoke, Keith and Ruth Arnott of Barrie, Wayne and Lynn Arnott of Elora and Earle Corbett of Toronto. Predeceased by brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Warren and Jessie Arnott and Jean Corbett. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Viola Stack of Arthur. The family would like to express their appreciation to Nancy Smith, the staff of Groves Memorial Hospital and Dr. Landoni for their exceptional care. Dave was a life long resident of Arthur. He will be fondly remembered as a teacher, town historian, trail builder, willing helper, and friendly face. He will be missed. The family received friends at the Crawford Funeral Chapel, 243 George Street, Arthur on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Arthur on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until time of the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to The Arthur and Area Historical Society or any other community organization of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
