McEWEN, Richard Ira “Rick” of Arthur passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at the Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus on Sunday, February 19, 2017 in his 64th year.Beloved husband of Joan (Woods) McEwen for 40 years. Cherished father of Shawn and Kelly McEwen of Fergus, Chris McEwen and Ally of London. Dearest grandfather of Brennen, Emmeline and Nicholas. Brother of Bryan and Shirley McEwen, Wyanda Jackson, Gwen and John Morrison, and Bonnie and Verne Davies. Brother-in-law of Mary McEwen, Mickie McEwen, Brian Woods, Wayne Woods, Ross Woods, David and Michelle Woods and Gail and Sandy Kelly. Son-in-law of Shirley Woods and Bob Robinson. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many friends. Predeceased by his parents Chester and Iva McEwen, Brothers Jim and Larry McEwen, brother-in-law Bill Jackson and father-in-law Clayton Woods. To honour Rick’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Crawford Funeral Chapel, 243 George Street, Arthur, on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 6 to 9 p.m. Rev.
