HUTCHINGS, Theresa Anne, February 6, 1961 – June 26, 2016. Theresa Anne Hutchings of Erin, On passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at the age of 55 at Bethel House Hospice in Inglewood after a particularly long and difficult battle with ovarian cancer. Theresa was the eldest of 3 children born to Mary and Murray Hutchings. Her first love was her dogs, which she enjoyed breeding and showing. Her incredible strength, determination and perseverance was such an inspiration to all those who’s path she crossed in her life. Her sense of humour and her willpower is what carried her through her long and challenging illness with ovarian cancer. She refused to give into her disease, right up to her last day. Theresa is survived by her Mom Mary, siblings Elaine, Joanne (Rob) & David (Tracy) along with Nieces, Nephews and her great Nephew. She is predeceased by her Dad Robert Murray Hutchings, her Grandparents, and her pet dogs Leo and Oliver. Our family wishes to extend our enormous thanks to Dr. Stephen Reingold and Dr. Michael Gagnon for the utmost level of care you provided to Theresa, with a special thank you to Dr. Gagnon for arranging a special day to a Blue Jays game – we will hold the memory of that day close to our hearts forever. We would like to thank the nursing staff, PSW’s and volunteers for the amazing, loving and compassionate care Theresa received at Bethel House Hospice. Special thanks to Nurse Joyce for assisting her with such a loving and peaceful departure on her final day. We would like to thank all the home care workers who cared for Theresa and allowed her to remain at home as long as possible. A very special thank you to the Management and staff at Fedex Canada for your unwavering support and understanding through the years of her illness. A memorial service will be held for Theresa on July 9, 2pm at All Saints Anglican Church, Erin with reception to follow at the church.
